But before we get there, the Pi Network Core Team (CT) decided to celebrate the monumental achievements of 2025 – from 100 million Pioneers to the European MiCA stamp – in the best possible way: By demonstrating the power of Pi as a real currency.

1. Global Business Initiative: "Pi under the tree"

After years of building the ecosystem, it's time for a major overhaul. The goal of this initiative is to massively support transactions between Pioneers and merchants (P2B) and between Pioneers themselves (P2P) for real goods and services.

What does this mean in practice?

  • Activation of Hackathon winners: Applications like TaskPi Global (job and service marketplace) and other e-commerce platforms integrated into Pi Browser have launched special Christmas sections. You can hire a graphic designer to create a PFk and pay them in Pi, or buy a handmade gift from another Pioneer on the other side of the world.
  • Map of local merchants: The app has an updated map of verified “Pi-friendly” brick-and-mortar stores. The initiative encourages Pioneers to visit these stores and make purchases with Pi.
  • Emphasis on Utility: This isn't just about spending. It's about proving that the Pi economy works. Every successful transaction is further proof to the world that Pi is ready for the Open Mainnet.

2. Big Holiday Raffle 2025

To motivate Pioneers to participate in the business initiative and to "kick-start" the economy, CT linked it to a massive raffle.

The mechanics are simple: Spend Pi, get a chance to win.

For each verified transaction within the Pi ecosystem (purchase of goods or services through approved dApps) of a minimum value 10 Pi carried out between December 19 and December 31, 2025, the user will receive one digital raffle ticket. (Maximum of 5 tickets per user per day to prevent spam).

What's at stake? Prizes worthy of 2025:

Thanks to the recent integration of Apex Liquidity Layer (hackathon winner) and compliance with MiCA, prices are truly hybrid for the first time in Pi Network history:

  • Grand Prize (1 winner): “Open Mainnet Bundle” – Includes ultra-rare Genesis NFT Pi Network (which provides future benefits in the ecosystem) IF IT IS EQUIVALENT €10,000 in regulated stablecoins (USDC/EURC), which will be credited to the winner's wallet at the moment of the Open Mainnet launch.

  • Take advantage of holiday offers created by merchants and app developers;
  • Share your shopping or gift-giving experiences on the channel PiFest Fireside Forum and enter the raffle (details below).

Community raffle

Enter the draw for exclusive Pi merchandise! Every valid post on the channel PiFest Fireside Forum, including from Pioneer shoppers, participating Pi app developers, and local Pi retailers, are automatically entered into a raffle. A total of 100 winners will be randomly selected to receive Pi-branded items such as t-shirts and hats! Please note that Pi merchandise orders will be fulfilled through a third party, so raffle winners will be limited by the geographic availability of this site, which includes over 220 countries and regions.
