The challenge took Pioneers through various new features and helped them explore the Pi ecosystem and Pi products. Pioneers also received fun digital prizes after completing certain levels of steps.

Ecosystem challenge

Eight-step Pi2Day Ecosystem Challenge conducted by the Pioneers participants new editions of Pi2Day : Pi App Studio, Ecosystem Directory Staking, updated Node tools, and more. The challenge was attended by 2,6 million Pioneers and 761 completed all the steps to get this year's limited edition badge with username and color.

Participation was strong across regions, demonstrating community engagement and their eagerness to explore and test new services immediately upon launch.

Pi App Studio: Building AI apps at scale

One of the main launches of Pi2Day 2025 was Pi App Studio , an AI-powered platform that requires no code and allows anyone – regardless of technical knowledge – to create and own functional applications in the decentralized Pi ecosystem.

Since the launch of Pi App Studio:

  • It was created and published over 7 chatbot applications 14 custom applications.
  • More than 34 individual pioneers created applications, including unpublished projects.

These apps show how local innovation can flourish when access to app creation is opened up without the need for a technical background.

For example, here are a few community-created apps that are functional, useful, and fun!

  • Pi-Tris : A game where blocks fall and you clear lines by stacking them together.
  • BLACKHOLE : Chatbot with information about space and outer space.
  • HealthyLife : A chatbot that helps Pioneers stay healthy.
  • FlapPi Bird : A game where you fly a bird between two walls and achieve a high score.

Note: Pioneers should be aware that the Pi Network does not verify, rate, endorse, or control the App Studio applications that are available for access through the Pi Browser for any reason or purpose. Use of these applications is at your own risk and we strongly advise you to exercise caution when using them.

Ecosystem Directory Stacking: Pi App and Utility Support

Another release from Pi2Day 2025 was Ecosystem Directory Staking, a platform-level tool that allows businesses and users to improve the ranking of Pi applications in the Ecosystem Interface by staking Pi tokens on the Mainnet blockchain.

  • Total staked over 37,7 million digits of Pi, with is still actively being invested over 25 million digits of Pi
    a
  • More than 16 unique players Pioneer invested in more than 1 standalone applications.

The staking feature introduced a community-driven way to showcase applications and services that pioneers and businesses want to promote and support.

Resource-driven community

Thanks to all the pioneers who researched new features, created apps, shared their apps via the Fireside Forum, and staking Pi to support the ecosystem. This year's challenge reflected the community's continued interest in contributing to the growth of the Pi ecosystem and expanding its usefulness.

With thousands of apps created, millions of Pi computers stacked, and strong global participation in the Ecosystem Challenge, Pi2Day 2025 highlighted how the community is actively embracing new tools and programs. These results also demonstrate the continued role of pioneers in using and testing products, providing feedback, and supporting ecosystem development through use and participation.
