Highlights

  • Onramp Money confirms Pi integration is still ongoing following reports of failed wallet transactions.
  • Onramp urges pioneers not to make any further transactions until the official launch, which is expected in the second or third week of August.
  • There have been reports, particularly from Vietnam, of fiat currency debit transactions without receiving Pi tokens after more than four days.

Update

Onramp Money has issued an update stating that the Pi network integration is still ongoing, despite reports of failed wallet transactions, and confirmed that a formal launch is scheduled for August 2025.

Onramp Money Stresses Patience as Pi Network Integration Continues

In recent contribution to X Onramp Money confirmed that it has received several inquiries from Pi network users who were trying to buy Pi tokens but were not seeing them in their wallets. The company emphasized that the Pi integration is still ongoing. Most importantly, it urged pioneers to avoid further transactions until the official launch. This is expected to happen in the second or third week of August.

Stuck transactions

They also added that if a transaction appears to be stuck, it will be resolved once the Pi network integration is launched. The platform noted that official updates will only be shared through verified social media channels.

This explanation came after messages , especially from Vietnamese pioneers who have had their fiat currency debited from their accounts but are waiting more than four days to receive their Pi tokens. To alleviate the confusion and anxiety, community voices have called for a more straightforward and unambiguous announcement.

"Buy" notification in wallet

These issues emerged shortly after Pi Network, in collaboration with Banxa and Onramper, has quietly introduced a “Buy” feature to its Pi Wallet. The new tool promises an easier way to acquire Pi tokens using familiar payment methods. This includes debit and credit cards, and even Google Pay.

Pi Network seeks global adoption

Pi Network previously announced an official partnership with Onramp Money, which will allow pioneers to instantly sell Pi tokens in over 25 local currencies, including INR, MXN, NGN, VND, TRY, and EUR. This marked a significant step in bridging the digital and fiat economies, offering pioneers around the world faster access to spendable value.

This collaboration underscores Pi Network’s goal of ensuring that Pi tokens mined by pioneers can be used as everyday currency, and is also an important step towards building a decentralized ecosystem that is as simple as traditional banking.

Possible shortcomings

While pioneers celebrated this step towards real-world usability, its implementation revealed a familiar challenge. As CoinGape previously reported, Pi Network’s shortcomings can also be attributed to its often criticized pace and communication style. Many critics argue that the platform should have left the buy button inactive until it was ready to use.

Conclusion

In other news, Pi Network recently revealed an update to its branding with a new cover photo. While it’s subtle, community members see it as a visual statement that the project is expanding its Open Mainnet phase. For now, early adopters should wait to purchase Pi tokens through Onramp Money until official approval in August. The company assures that any blocked transactions will be resolved after launch.
